Getting to SwaroopyogAshram, Girivan

 

f you want use Google Maps to go to Girivan, all you need to do is enter the following number (GPS Coordinate / Latitude and longitude of the Ashram) into Google Maps on your mobile and tap on "Take me there" or the “Direction” icon:

Getting There: From Pune Railway Station (45.1 km | About 1hour 30 min)

From Pune Railway Station to Chandani Chowk should not be a problem for the most of you. It’s fairly well known. Just ask around

After Chandani Chowk take a road that goes to Paud Gaon (The road is called as Mulshi Road on Google Maps.)

On this road, one of the turn offs that most of the first timers tend to miss out is the turn off from ST Stand Paud Gaon which exactly 18.9Km from Chandani Chowk. You need to turn right immediately after the ST Stand at Paud Gaon. Please see the picture below.

Once you take the right turn, the road is called Nanegaon-Kule Road on Google Maps. 10.1 Km (16 min) after ST Stand Paud Gaon, you will see a big "Girivan" hoarding on the left. Take that small left turn.

 

SwaroopYogAshram is 4.1 km from this turn off. It’s mostly uphill road. You will tend to lose mobile signal at this point.

 

Getting There: From Mumbai (via Chandani Chowk) - 191 Km | About 4 hours.

Google Maps will suggests you many shorter routs. That is one from Kamshet, Lonavala. They all could be good. Since I have never travelled on them so far, I am going to attach the road that I have travelled on frequently. It will take you 50 km and 30 min more to reach Girvan through road below. It takes you to Girivan through Chandani Chowk. (I will post the other routes once I personally travel through one, and feel comfortable to recommend it to you.)
